Tango Bar - Enchanted Hands

With an air of being on the outskirts, Tango bar – Manos brujas (Tango Bar - Enchanted Hands) could complete a sequence whose steps follow from the Riachuelo River to a small club where the cult of popular music is indulged. Like a photograph copied in negative, the piano is white (when they tend to be polished black), the syncopated rhythm is bolted down to an orchestra frozen in mid-gesture, and the singer’s red hair, prolonged in other bloody reds, seems to spill mercilessly onto the stage. In strictly pictorial terms, the whites, reds and blues slide across the canvas in a mournful harmony that laps the rim of the forms in a chilly, sorrowful cadence. There is a ghostly sensation that envelops those “enchanted hands.”
